16-year-old Bader from Gaza was a funny boy. He loved telling jokes and to rhyme his words . He was also very considerate. He liked tennis and football. He had a lovely singing voice. He used to sing at school events for his teachers and fellow classmates. “We miss Bader and his sense of humor,” said his sister.
On 24 August 2014, Bader left the house to pray the Al Fair prayer at a mosque near his home. He met up with his 22-year-old neighborYahiya Abu Al ‘Amreen, and they walked to the mosque together. Bader’s father was leaving the house when an Israeli drone fired a missile. It hit Bader and Yahiya. They were killed and Bader’s father sustained shrapnel wounds.
