Five-year-old Moa’taz, nicknamed “Bolah”, was from Khan Younis, southern Gaza. He was a very naughty child but very sensitive. He liked to go out to play. His aunt used to take him to his kindergarten. His family encouraged him to go to kindergarten but he did not like it. “He got a certificate with full marks from his kindergarten, so his grandmother was very happy,” said his aunt.  He raised pigeons and cats. His father had a donkey, and he used to feed it and take care of it. “He was sure to go with his grandmother to the market. He used to take an empty bag with him to collect some vegetables and fruits from the ground and bring it home to feed his pets because we were poor,” added his aunt.

At 2:50 am on 26 July 2014, “Israeli warplanes dropped a bomb on our house. We started to sink. Rubble and dust covered us. Our neighbors pulled me out and took me to hospital. I knew later that twenty-one people were killed,” his uncle Mohammed said.
