CHILDREN IN CONFLICT

The conflicts occurring across  West Asia and North Africa  have a high civilian mortality rate, significant portions of which are children. To draw attention to the scale of child suffering and mortality across the region, the WANA Institute has partnered with the Al Mezan Centre for Human Rights to create this online photographic exhibition that pays tribute to the children who lost their lives in the war in Gaza during the summer of 2014. Although this exhibit has begun with a focus on Gaza, over the coming year the Institute will continue to work with NGOs across the region to build and maintain this tribute wall to remember children who have lost their lives in other regional conflicts.
