5-year-old Abdel Haleem from Gaza loved to watch the children’s TV channel Toyour Al Janna. He liked going to kindergarten and to visit his grandfather. He especially liked playing with his toy horse, which was his favorite toy of all. “He wanted to become a doctor in the future,” said his mother.

At approximately 5:00 pm on Wednesday 30 July 2014, the Israeli forces announced a truce. The grandfather went upstairs to the roof with his grandchildren, as they always did before the war. Soon after they got to the roof, an Israeli warplane targeted them. As a result, the grandfather Abdel Kareem, 70, and his 7 grandchildren, Lena, 8; Malak, 7; Ola, 9; Amena, 8; Abdel Haleem, 5; Abdel Aziz, 3; and Liyan, 3, were all killed instantly.
