Abdullah, 3, from Dier Al Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip was a calm and obedient child. He spent most of his time with his brother, Hadi, and his grandmother. He liked to play computer games. He couldn't wait to go to kindergarten. He had already prepared his bag with his pencil and notebook.
On 16 July 2014, Abdullah's family were asked by Israeli forces to evacuate their house. Shelling began, and after ten minutes most of the house was destroyed, with only a small part remaining inhabitable. The family returned to this small part of the house. On 22 July 2014, without warning, the house was attacked again. Six people were instantly killed, including Abdullah. “I feel so sad about losing them. I visit their graves for hours, just talking to them,” said his cousin Abed Rabu.
