15-year-old Alaa' was very obliging and kind. His teachers loved him. Alaa’ was crazy about football and he was a member of Khadamat Deir Al Balah Club. He was an FC Barcelona fan. "Peace" was his favorite computer game. “His death has left a big emptiness in us. His absence is difficult for all of us,” his mother says.
When the Israeli forces escalated the bombardment near Alaa’s home, the family evacuated to Al Aqsa hospital. An artillery shell struck Alaa' and he was immediately killed.
