Seventeen-year-old Alaa from Beit Lahia in the north of the Gaza Strip was a sociable and obedient girl. Her hobby was drawing. Her ambition was to be an engineer. ‘She had many friends,’ said her mother.
Alaa and her family relocated to Abu Hussein UNRWA school shelter in Jabalia refugee camp. The school was targeted by Israeli warplane missiles. Alaa was killed in the attack and many others were wounded.
