At approximately 1:45 pm on Saturday, 2 August 2014, an Israeli warplane fired one missile at the house of Ahmed Al Romi, which is located in Al Hashasheen neighborhood in Rafah. As a result 5 people were killed, including Ameen; his uncle Ahmed, 51; his cousins Abdel Rahman, 20; and Smoud, 5. On Monday 11 August 2014, medical sources at the Egyptian Hospital announced the death of Ameen’s cousin Mohammed Ahmed Al Romi, 23.
The family refused to talk with Al Mezan’s field worker about Ameen. Ameen was 13 years old at the time of his death.
