Location North
Sixteen-year-old Ayman from Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip was a popular boy with a likable personality. He was a modest, persuasive and sober child. He did all of his prayers and was memorizing the Quran. He liked football and was a FC Barcelona fan. His father was expecting a great future for him.
His family had a cow farm near the border, so Ayman used to work there. On the day of 23 July 2014, after finishing his work in the farm, he went to close the farm's door. An Israeli drone targeted him and he was seriously injured. The ambulance could not reach him in the area, so his father carried him for a long distance. He died in his father’s arms. His mother says she “accepted his death with full faith and patience, and she always pray for him and asks Allah to help her.”
“The most distinct character of Ayman was his birth and his death were during the holy month of Ramadan,” his mother said.
