6-year-old Baraa from Al Shatee refugee camp in Gaza was described as a lovable young boy and a sharer. He would always share his toys with his friends, his sisters, and his brothers. He was doing very well at school and had been awarded a number of awards for his work. He was really afraid during the war and his mother kept him indoors during that time.

On the first day of Eid, Baraa’s mother let him leave the house for the first time during the war to go play with his friends in the street. While they were playing, they got targeted by an Israeli warplane. Baraa' was killed instantly, along with the other 9 children who were playing with him and an older man. “His mother cries all the time. She usually asks her daughters to prepare food for Baraa',” the father said.
