8-year-old Eman from Gaza was an active and smart child. She had a sweet voice and liked to sing children’s songs. She wanted to be a singer in the future. She also loved drawing. Eman liked to gather other children around her and act like she was their teacher. She also took very good care of her looks and she kissed her father all the time. "She had asked me to teach her how to cook so that she could cook for her own children in the future," said her mother. 

The Am'mar family had been living in the Cordoba residential building just beneath the Al Hallaq family's apartment when on 20 July 2014 the Al Hallaq family was attacked by Israeli forces. 3 missiles struck the apartment without warning. 11 people were killed instantly, including Eman. Many others were seriously injured.
