Location Rafah
Two-year-old Feras from Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was a calm, introverted and shy child. His hobbies were playing football and swinging. He liked raising and feeding cats. His ambition was to be an engineer. “He was close to me and he refused to sleep before I came home at night,” said his father, Mohamed, who is 25 years old.
At night, on 3 August 2014, three Israeli warplane missiles hit Mohamed Abu Jazar’s house, without prior warning. The house was completely destroyed. Three people were immediately killed including Feras. Fares’ sister Maryya, 1, his mother, 23, and his father, were seriously injured.
