8-year-old Leena from Gaza was a smart girl and a very good student. She had seven chapters of the Quran memorized. She spent most of her time reading and watching the children’s TV channel. She was a very kind and a sociable girl. She would always apologize if she made a mistake. Her ambition was to be a teacher, because she liked her teacher. “She used to write on the walls of the house, which have now become a very good memory of her. She loved the color red, so she used to buy all her stuff in red," said her mother.

At 5:00 pm on 30 July 2014, when a truce was declared, Leena’s grandfather took all of the children to the roof of the house. The children were busy playing in the open air when, without warning, they were targeted by an Israeli drone. 7 people were immediately killed, 6 of them were children, including Leena.
