Maysaa from Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip was not born yet at the time of the attack. Her mother was in her eighth month of pregnancy. Maysaa was killed in her mother’s womb. “I named her Maysaa because it was my sister’s name. Her siblings were very enthusiastic about having a new baby sister. They could not wait for their mother to give birth, so that they could play with their sister and take care of her,” said her father.
On 20 July 2014, just before sunset, the Abu Jamee’s three-story house was bombarded with missiles. There was no prior warning given. “It was a real massacre; 26 people were killed. 3 people were injured but thankfully they survived,” said her father.
