14-year-old Mohamed from Gaza City was an active and energetic child. He loved playing football and riding bicycles. He was an excellent student at school. Mohamed was born after 27 years of his parents’ marriage. He was the first child, so he was very spoiled. “I used to count on him to help me all the time,” said his second cousin.
At 11:30 pm on 1 August 2014, while the Al-Nairab family was sleeping, a missile was fired at the house by Israeli warplanes without any prior warning. The two-storey building was completely destroyed. Four people died instantly, including Mohamed, his father, his mother and his brother Mahmoud who was 10.
