Location Rafah
Sixteen-year-old Munir from the Tabet Zra’a area in the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was a sociable, beloved and obedient child. His hobbies were playing football and computer games. He would help his father in his mechanical workshop. “His ambition was to be a mechanical engineer and to start his own business,” his mother said.
Because of the intense Israeli shelling, Munir and his family evacuated the house to a safer area. When the truce was declared on 3 August 2014, Munir and his father went back home to get some of their belongings. While they were in a civilian car, they were directly targeted. “They were immediately killed,” his mother added.
