Nine-year-old Rajab from the Al Saftawi area in Jabalia in the north of the Gaza Strip was very close to his father. He had Rickets disease, so his family was taking special care of him. He used to accompany his father to visit his friends. He was impressed by his father's friend, an engineer and a good speaker. So his ambition was to be an engineer in the future. He liked to have fun and play football with his friends.

At 8:00 pm on 31 August 2014, the family members were gathered in the yard, including Rajab, when they were targeted by an Israeli missile. Rajab sustained many shrapnel wounds in different parts of his body, and his leg was cut; he died immediately. In this incident three people were killed and three others were injured. “Life is not worth anything after their death. Rajab will remain in my hurt. I will never forget him,” his father said.
