Seven-year-old Safa from Gaza City liked to play and to run continuously; she liked to go to the park. She spent most of her time playing and when she would visit her uncle's house and find her cousin sleeping, she would wake her up to play with her.
Most of the time she played computer games, watched cartoons, and children’s TV channels. She liked to play with her grandfather. “She was named Safa from the Safa and Marwa mountains in Saudi Arabia,” said her grandfather, 61.
On 9 July 2014, her house was directly bombarded by Israeli warplanes without warning. Four civilians were killed, including Safa at the age of seven. Many others were injured.
