2-year-old Deema from Gaza was a calm child. She loved to play with her toys. She had a yellow stuffed bear that she always hugged while she was sleeping. "I wanted Deema to be a doctor or a journalist," said her mother.
On 20 July 2014, during an intense and violent Israeli bombardment against civilian houses, Deema's father decided to evacuate. He picked up Deema and headed out of the house. A neighboring house was bombarded. Shrapnel hit both Deeama and her father. Deema's head was divided into two parts and she died instantly. "We still miss her so much," said her mother.
