Yousif Mohammed Al Shalalfa from Rafah was an energetic boy who liked to ride his bicycle and play computer games and marbles. “I’m now responsible for my nephews after the death of their parents. I really miss them all. I always try to be strong in front of the kids,” says his uncle Na’el who is 22.                                                                                               

At approximately 7:30 am on Sunday, 3 August 2014, an Israeli drone fired a missile at Mohammed Ijme’an Al Shalalfa's house. The house was located in Al Mawasi area of western Rafah. Yousif’s father, 42 and his mother Khitam, 39, were killed instantly. Yousif was critically injured and pronounced dead at The Gaza European Hospital on 11 September 2014. He was 10 years old.
