14-year-old Shama from the Qobet Zra'a area in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was a sociable, lovable, and smiling girl. “She was married fourteen days before the holy month of Ramadan 2014,” her cousin Nidal said.
On 29 July 2014, an Israeli warplane targeted Abdullah Ab Zeid’s three-storey house without any warning. The house was completely destroyed while the family were still inside. 9 people were immediately killed, including Shama, and 12 others were seriously injured.
