15-year-old Mohammed Rajaa Hundum was from Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip. He was a very kind boy. He always performed all of his daily prayers in the mosque. “He was very close to our father and spent most of his time by his side,” said his surviving sister, Rola.
At approximately 3:00 pm on Sunday, 20 July 2014, artillery shells were fired at residential homes near the cemetery in Rafah's Al Salam neighbourhood. Mohammed was killed when the shelling hit his home. His mother and his father were also injured.
