12-year-old Yousif from the Al Shaoot area in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was a very naughty and clever child. He studied in a private school. He had previously lived with his family in Abu Dhabi, but they had come back to Palestine in 2013. Yousif and his brother were very happy and active children. “Yousif was an excellent student at school,” said his cousin Mohamed.
On 2 August 2014, the Abu Taha family’s house was hit by shelling without prior warning. The house was completely destroyed. 4 members of the family were instantly killed, including Yousif.
