16-year-old Abdel Nasser from Gaza was a lovely boy. He liked to play football. He was also really close to his mother and liked to spend time with her at home. He was a responsible boy who helped his mother with filling the water tanks and buying groceries. His father saw him as his right hand man. He hoped to major in computer science in the future and could not wait to get his driving license.
On 22 July 2014, Abdel Nasser went up to the roof to check on the water tanks. Israeli forces fired a missile at the neighbor’s house and Nasser was killed in the attack. “We are so sad. We lost one of the main members of the family. He was such a caring young boy,” his mother says.
